Diablo 4 Season 15 is bringing a group of familiar Legacy Uniques into the permanent loot pool, giving players another reason to rethink their builds. With the season expected around September 15, 2026, these returning items are arriving alongside Soul Splinters and Abyssal Splinters. For anyone who enjoys testing unusual combinations, the new D4 items could create some interesting build changes.

The biggest name among these D4 items is Leoric’s Crown, which has quickly become one of the most discussed pieces from the upcoming season. Several other items from Diablo 1, Diablo 2, and Diablo 3 are also returning, although their usefulness will depend heavily on class, build, and how Season 15 develops after launch.

Why Leoric’s Crown Stands Out

Leoric’s Crown is easily the most interesting Legacy Unique for many players. Its main effect increases the power of gems socketed into the helm by 75–100%, with Mythic versions reaching as high as 130%. That alone gives the item a useful role, but its interaction with the new seasonal mechanics is what makes it particularly attractive.

The Crown is treated as jewelry for the new system, which means players can potentially socket Abyssal Splinters into it. Because its effect can amplify socketed effects, the combination could become extremely valuable for players focused on pushing difficult endgame content.

This does not automatically mean every build will use Leoric’s Crown. Diablo 4 builds usually involve several competing bonuses, and giving up another powerful Unique or defensive option can have a real cost. Still, the Crown has the kind of mechanic that encourages players to experiment rather than simply follow the most obvious equipment setup.

Other All-Class Returning Items

Leoric’s Crown is not the only Legacy Unique available across different classes. Stone of Jordan is returning as a Ring and can make elemental resistance management much easier by bringing your resistances in line with your highest value.

Nemesis Bracers offer a different type of gameplay. When you interact with a Shrine, the item spawns an Elite pack. For players who enjoy fast farming, this could turn Shrine encounters into additional opportunities for combat and rewards.

Ring of Royal Grandeur is another familiar name. Its purpose is to reduce the number of pieces required to activate set bonuses, potentially opening up more flexibility when sets become part of a build.

Squirt’s Blouse is also joining the group. It is adapted from Diablo 3’s Squirt’s Necklace, so returning Diablo 3 players may immediately recognize the inspiration behind it.

Class-Specific Options

The remaining Legacy Uniques are limited to certain classes. The Furnace is a two-handed mace for Barbarian, Druid, Necromancer, Paladin, and Warlock. In-Geom is a one-handed sword that can be used by Barbarian, Druid, Rogue, Necromancer, Paladin, and Warlock.

Messerschmidt’s Reaver is another two-handed weapon available to Barbarian, Druid, Necromancer, Paladin, and Warlock. Arioc’s Needle is more restricted, with Barbarian, Druid, and Spiritborn being able to equip it.

Henri’s Perquisition is an offhand Focus for Sorcerer, Necromancer, and Warlock. Its primary-stat interaction based on Dexterity could lead to some unconventional setups, especially once players begin testing its limits.

What This Means for Season 15

The returning items should make early Season 15 gearing more interesting. Instead of simply looking for the newest equipment, players will have to compare established build choices with items that have returned from earlier games.

Leoric’s Crown appears to have the clearest connection to the seasonal mechanics, but PTR testing does not always predict the final live meta. Balance changes, drop rates, and player discoveries can all change an item's position quickly.

For players preparing their characters, the sensible approach is to keep an open mind. A Legacy Unique does not have to be universally powerful to be useful. Some may become core pieces of popular builds, while others could remain niche choices for players who enjoy specific interactions.

The Season Will Decide the Winners

Once Season 15 goes live, players will have a much clearer idea of which returning items deserve serious attention. The combination of familiar equipment and new seasonal systems should give theorycrafters plenty to explore, particularly in high-level Pit content.

For players planning their early gearing strategy, having enough flexibility to test several setups will matter more than immediately committing to one item. If Leoric’s Crown performs as expected, it may become one of the most desirable pieces to find, while the other Legacy Uniques could quietly establish their own places in specialized builds.

Players who want to speed up their preparation can also consider ways to buy d4 gear when appropriate, especially when trying to assemble a particular setup without spending all of their early-season farming time on basic upgrades.
